Visitor Services Assistant (Seasonal)

Hourly Wage: $14.00 up to 32 hours per week as scheduled

Looking for a summer job that offers variety? Work as visitor services assistant at the Lake County Historical Society! The Lake County Historical Society operates three historic sites in Two Harbors: the Lighthouse, Depot, and 3M Birthplace museums. Visitor Service Assistants will be scheduled at one of the three sites typically between the hours of 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Visitor Services Assistants are anticipated to work every other weekend. 
Duties include:

• Operate electronic cash register and credit card machine
• Greet and assist customers to museum and store
• Provide general information on local and regional history
• Assist with maintaining the appearance of the store including replacing sold merchandise from inventory when possible.
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to read and follow both written and verbal directions
• Ability to speak clearly to small groups
• Ability to operate a cash register, count and give correct change
• Interest in working with people
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

• $200 merchandise after 90 days of work
• 48 hours Earned Sick & Safe Time to use or be paid out at end of year
